THE PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY
Founded in 1940, IMAP SAIC was one of the first companies dedicated to plastic transformation in Argentina. Throughout its history it has manufactured all kinds of products for different industries. Since 1970 it started manufacturing some products for the pharmaceutical industry, and today it is fully dedicated to that industry, where it is recognized by its service and product quality. Within this strategic decision, in 2019 it purchased Gerresheimer Buenos Aires SA (today IMAP PET SA) to add the production of PET bottles to its business and product portfolio.
Today IMAP exports to the entire Region, it is the leader in Tubes and Closures for effervescent and one of the main manufacturers of pharmaceutical plastic packaging. It has a plant of 10.500m2 in a 22.500m2 piece of land where it houses 30 production equipments, 4 offset printers, 5 closure assembly machines and other devices to “add value” to the products.
In 2022, IMAP took the decision to further strengthen its presence in the region and made an agreement with the company TRIPLAST Ltda to manufacture its products in Brazil. TRIPLAST is located in Rio de Janeiro and will manufacture according to the high standards and good practices that IMAP has achieved in so many years of work, so that its products are of excellence like those made in Argentina. TRIPLAST has an industrial estate of 9,600m2, 18 production equipments, 3 offset printers, 3 closure fillers, plus all peripheral equipment.
Its main product lines are standard RP28 bottles, tubes and closures with silica gel, snap on, crimp on and vaccine bottles, wide-mouth pill jars, DIN18 bottles, single-dose bottles, pumps and actuators of all kinds. The company also has an important R&D department to develop new products according to customers´ requirements.
In order to offer a complete solution to its customers, IMAP offers complementary products to the aforementioned lines: oral dosing syringes, caps of all kinds, rubber seals, droppers, measuring cups, capsules and desiccant sachets, etc.
All products manufactured in-house are done in Clean / Pharma Zone and based on a comprehensive Quality Management System that includes the entire structure and is focused on process stability.
